“Relativity” and “Quantum” in the Titles and Abstracts of “Physical Review” Papers, 1911-2007

JF Ptak Science Books  Quick Post

Here’s a simple list I made using a search tool on the American Physical Society site showing the frequency of the appearances of the words “relativity” and “quantum” in the titles and abstracts of papers that appeared in the Physical Review from 1911-2007. (I made this in 2008 so that’s why the count stops there.) This may be interested to graph out, though the info might not really tell you anything beyond he obvious.  Interestingly, RC Tolman seems to have the first article in PR on relativity (1910) and the second on quantum mechanics (1917).  Or so it seems at this point…

PR articles with the word “relativity” in the title or abstract:

2007 (1,012)
2006 (971)
2005 (968)
2002 (846)
