Maps of Missionary Expeditions, 1851

Maps of the Missions of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, September 1851. 8×5″, 16pp, with 19 woodcut maps on 16pp.  Original printed wrappers. Very Good condition. One small ownership rubber stamp on front upper-right wrapper, “Day Mission Library, Nov 19, 1923”.  Some browning and foxing, though that is mostly contained to the wrappers.  $125  “The American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM) was among the first American Christian missionary organizations. It was created in 1810 by recent graduates of Williams College. In the 19th century it was the largest and most important of American missionary organizations and consisted of participants from Reformed traditions such as Presbyterians, Congregationalists, and German Reformed churches.”–Wikipedia
