ORIGINAL Photograph, 1918. American YWCA entertainers, France. 7x5 inches. Good condition. SOLD
Thanks to John McKay (Anchorage, Alaska) for providing the background and foreground for who these women were--the Hearons sisters, as in "The Hearons Sisters Concert Company". They were evidently quite an attraction, performing coast-to-coast, with a European tour, as well. I assume that they performed popular songs, as there seems to be no mention of the sort of music they played. See the University of Iowa (here) for more details.
"The woman on the left is actually playing a double necked “harp guitar,” an instrument that was popular in America during the time of the First World War. People could pluck out bass notes on the “harp” half while simultaneously strumming a melody on the guitar half."--Christinablack.com
Hi, These are the 4 of the Hearons Sisters Concert Company. One who was there that day is missing from this version of the photo. I have another version of this photo. I am interested in the photo, but want to clarify how much it cost. One of your postings says 75.00, this one says 125.00, but if you click on PayPal button it says 150.00.
Thanks

Oops. My mistake re price(s). I've adjusted it down to the lowest number, as is only fair.
