Champion, Paul ("professor of chemistry"). De la Spectrometrie Spectronatrometre.
Paris: Librarie Polytechnique de J. Baudry, 1873. 1st edition. 15pp. Original printed wrappers. Good condition.Provenance: Library of Congress, with their surplus stamp on the front wrapper.
This rare pamphlet--only one copy (in the British Library) located in OCLC/WorldCat--was written by Paul Champion with Henri Pellet and Charles Grenier, and is illustrated with a full-page original photograph of the apparatus. There is one old rubber stamp from the former owner (The Library of Congress) and a few bends here and there in the wrappers; otherwise this is quite a nice pamphlet. $150 (Interestingly, one of the very few references that I can find for this work online is for volume 16 of Foote's The Naturalists' Leisure Hour and Monthly Bulletin: Science ... where the pamphlet was offered for sale for 35 cents. There were other, rarer, and more sumptuous books offered for sale in this journal as well, so it makes for a curious browse.)
