This circular “is from the December number of the underground newspaper “Danske Tidende” and tells of the heroism of a trio of Danish patriots, members all of an underground group...” including Jorgen Schmidt, Bent Fauerschou-Hvid, and Bent Ostergaard, though primarily it is the story of Mr. Schmidt, known by his nom de guerre, Citronen. Much of that story relates Schmidt's last stand against the Gestapo on October 15, 1944. I have reproduced the document, below. These three individuals represent the heroism and valor of a long-operating resistance group in Denmark against its Nazi occupiers.
