This is an early industrial relations effort bringing employees more-or-less into the intelligence loop of a major corporation. (NCR controlled about 95% of the cash register business in the U.S. in 1911--they were so successful in controlling the market that the major domos of the company were indicted under the Sherman Anti-Trust Act in 1912. Interesting to remember that this is where Thomas Watson Sr. (IBM) got his start, and it was here that the "THINK" indict began its life. The book is filled with ideas from the employees--quite unlike any other business book of its time.
