Brief of Proceedings Conference on Urban redevelopment held at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, September 10-11, 1942. At the Invitation of Eliel Saarinen, President, the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Issued as a Confidential Report to its Members by the Urban Land Institute, Washington D.C., November 1942. NOT FOR PUBLICATION.
11x8.5", 21 leaves, printed via an offset process (I believe) from the original typed sheets. Provenance: the Library of Congress Pamphlet Collections, with their 6 mm perforated "LC" stamp on the front cover, and the LC surplus rubber stamp on the rear cover. Somewhat dusty, and the last two leaves are printed on a more inferior paper which has browned, otherwise, overall, a pretty nice copy. GOOD+. SCARCE: WorldCat locates 5 copies: NYPL, Columbia, Purdue, and Harvard (2 libraries there). $250
"Cranbrook Academy of Art, known as the cradle of American modernism, continues to have a significant impact on the world of art, architecture, and design completely disproportionate to its size."--from the Cranbrook site.
